In both Industry and Government

Leading companies in the Canadian and International aerospace and automation industries are active participants in the NSERC CANRIMT II program – Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honda Canada, Ontario Drive and Gear, CADLink Technology Corporation, MEMEX, Origin, Longterm Technologies, and Alcoa, Boeing Company, DANOBAT Group, Industrial Technology Research Institute – ITRI, Sandvik Coromant, SM Information & Communication, Tenaris Tamsa.

In addition, these industry partners provide $2,224,735 in-kind funds and $2,566,250 gross cash over 5 years; plus considerable in-kind support through engineering time, materials, tooling and extensive testing of research methods and results. NSERC CANRIMT II has also received almost 60 support letters from the leaders of major international companies and research centres previously involved in research with Network members, who wish to continue their collaborations through this NSERC Strategic Partnerships Program Network.

The Network also includes two key national laboratories – the National Research Council (NRC) Aerospace Manufacturing Research Centre in Montreal and the Natural Resources CANMET Materials Technology Laboratory in Ontario.

These two national laboratories will assist in bridging the research with Canadian industry. The wide international network of companies and research centres interacting with the Network will play a major role in exchanging complementary research data and graduate students.
