|
NSERC CANRIMT PROJECT (title, description, start/end dates, supervisor) |
Theme I: Project IA.2: Cutting Mechanism and Microstructural Development During Machining; Start/end: June, 2010 to August 2012 ; Supervisor: Dr. A. T. Alpas.
Description: Description: Orthogonal cutting of Ti-6Al-4V alloy is performed to determine the strain, stress and temperature distributions ahead of the tool tip using both experimental and numerical methods. This is an effort to optimize the machining parameters.
