2nd International Conference on Virtual Machining Process Technology - VMPT 2013

Conference Program has been updated

ep

The 1st International Conference on Virtual Machining Process Technology will build on the successful first meeting of the Canadian Network for Research and Innovation in Machining Technology held in 2011 at the University of British Columbia and attended by members from academia and industry.

Industry requires the rapid development, prototyping, testing and deployment of machining strategies in order to reduce costs and achieve the highest quality. A key tool in achieving this goal is the modelling of product development and manufacturing in a digital environment. The modelling employs a science-based approach in which the complete machining process can be simulated and optimized before resorting to costly and time-consuming physical trials on the shop floor.
